Operation Soil Education

In celebration of the 2015 International Year of Soils Erie Basin RC&D initiated Operation Soil Education. This project provides S. K. Worm books to kindergartener and third grade students. Our goal is to be able to raise enough funds so we can donate these books to our Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) partners for distribution. We are working with local Farm Bureaus, schools, and SWCDs. To date the Farm Bureaus in Erie, Huron, and Lorain, and Ottawa counties have donated the needed funding to ensure all kindergarteners and third graders in these counties will receive the coloring and activity books respectively.
